Why RIght Water Pools is the right choice for your pool service needs:
We test your water more frequently and extensive than others because maintaining a balanced water chemistry is crucial—not just for you and your family, but also for the longevity of your pool equipment and foundation. And we do this without added costs to you.
Your water gets tested 6 different ways each month.
- Chlorine (total chlorine and free chlorine), Combined Chlorine is also tested if needed. Why combined chlorine? It’s the junk that the used chlorine puts off and causes cloudiness or irritations.
- pH - pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of a solution, and in pool water, it's tested to ensure a safe and comfortable swimming environment, as well as to maintain the effectiveness of sanitizers like chlorine and protect pool surfaces and equipment. pH that is too low will cause eye and skin irritation. pH that is too high will cause the chlorine to be ineffective and scaling.
- Alkalinity - refers to the water's ability to resist changes in pH, acting as a buffer, and it's crucial to maintain a stable pH for swimmer safety and equipment longevity, so it's tested regularly. If the Alkalinity is too low, metals and plaster will be etched and your equipment will wear out faster. Too high or low alkalinity can also cause heater problems.
- Stabilizer - CYA We test for this so that we can keep the level in check. Too much stabilizer and the chlorine will be ineffective. Too low and it will burn off quicker. It also affects water clarity if it’s too high.
- Calcium Hardness - it's important to keep the calcium hardness balanced to prevent your pool water from becoming corrosive or scaling. Water likes calcium and if you have too much or too little, your equipment will suffer.
- We will test phosphates also as needed - Phosphates can make the water cloudy and provides food for algae which promotes algae growth.
- TDS - Total Dissolved Solids.
- We go a step further for you and calculate Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) using the 6 factors plus the volume and water temperature. This tells us if we are treating your pool correctly.
- The LSI helps us balance the water in your pool so it's not too aggressive or too prone to scaling. If the LSI is too low, the water can corrode surfaces. If it's too high, it can cause scale buildup. We check several factors, like pH and calcium levels, to keep the water in the ideal range and protect your pool.
a Truly Clean Pool is More Than Just Clear Water.
Many pool companies do the bare minimum—check chlorine, skim the surface, and call it a day. But at Right Water Pools, we take water quality seriously. We test more often and more thoroughly than the competition, ensuring your pool is not only crystal clear but also safe, balanced, and built to last—without extra fees or hidden charges.
Our Advanced Water Testing Process
Each month, we run six essential tests to keep your water in perfect condition:
✅ Chlorine Levels (Total & Free) – Ensures effective sanitization while avoiding irritation.
✅ Combined Chlorine – Identifies “used-up” chlorine that causes cloudiness and strong chemical odors.
✅ pH & Alkalinity – Prevents corrosive or scaling water that can damage pool surfaces and equipment.
✅ Stabilizer (CYA) – Regulates chlorine efficiency, preventing rapid burn-off from sunlight.
✅ Calcium Hardness – Protects against plaster damage, scaling, and equipment corrosion.
✅ Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) – Helps maintain optimal water quality and prevent buildup.
We also test for phosphates when needed—these sneaky contaminants feed algae and make water cloudy.
The Extra Step That Makes a Difference
Beyond standard testing, we calculate your Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), a scientific approach to perfectly balancing your water chemistry.
- Too low? Water becomes aggressive, corroding pool surfaces and equipment.
- Too high? Scale buildup forms, reducing efficiency and leading to costly repairs.
By monitoring LSI and making precise adjustments, we extend the life of your pool and equipment, saving you money in the long run.
At Right Water Pools, we don’t just maintain pools—we protect your investment, so you can enjoy a trouble-free, perfectly balanced pool all year long.
